Audrey Hepburn had a thing for deer, and in 1959, while she was filming ‘Green Mansions’, the animal trainer on the set told Audrey to take her co-star home, which was a fawn, so that they both would be comfortable with each other.

The duo spent so much time together that the baby deer (named Pippin aka. Ip) began to think that Audrey was its real mother. Photographer Bob Willoughby said that it was really amazing to see both Audrey and the fawn together, and she really did care for the baby deer like its mother.
